Wuyi Mountain Reserve Oolong Loose Leaf Tea

This rare long-leaf Oolong tea is collected from Wuyi Mountain Reserve located in Fujian Province, China.  Its character is woodsy with resonant notes of muscatel. Wuyi Mountain Reserve Oolong is a premium loose leaf tea and can be steeped multiple times.

Legend has it that the mother of a Ming Dynasty Emperor was healed of illness by drinking tea from this species. Out of gratitude, the Emperor sent four giant red robes to clothe the four bushes from whence the leaves were collected. Three of the bushes that date back to the Song Dynasty are reportedly still alive to this day on Wuyi Mountain and are highly revered.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS

Our Wuyi Mountain Reserve Oolong loose leaf tea should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a point just short of boiling (190-200° F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose leaf tea for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea leaves. This tea should be steeped for 3-4 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping.
