Dongding Oolong Loose Leaf Tea
This tea is considered the most famous and prized semi-fermented Taiwan Oolong loose leaf tea — the leaves are delicately cultivated by hand. The leaves are evenly and tightly rolled. Legendary for its deep amber liquor and lingering sweet taste you will be left wanting more. Our Dongding Oolong loose leaf tea is hand-picked from Dongding Mountain in the town of Lu Gu, Taiwan.
We suggest using Chinese Yixing, purple clay or porcelain tea ware to brew our Dongding Oolong loose leaf tea. It should be made with cold, filtered water that has been brought to a point just short of boiling (190-200° F). Using one rounded teaspoon of loose leaf tea for each cup required, pour the boiling water over the tea leaves. This tea should be steeped for 1-2 minutes. Once the ideal brewing time has been reached, the leaves should be removed to prevent further steeping. Gradually increase steeping time for subsequent brewing.
